Immigrants Don't Take Jobs From Americans, Fed Study Says

As a healthcare worker, I see firsthand how illegals use our system. Do you know if they hurt themselves crossing the border illicitly, we taxpayers foot their medical costs? Do you know they get free ER visits, OR time, PCP visits, dental visits, even a monthly stipend?

When an anchor baby is born, that kid can sponsor their ENTIRE family coming over and living on welfare.

There needs to be a BIG penalty. I think labor camps in the interior are in order. One illegal told me she crossed 6 different times until she cemented her existence here, at our peril, of course.

They tell me WE are the illegals. The southwest is THEIR country. They will not stop.

Often, the most vehement supporters of illegal immigration are their US employers who profit from taxpayer-subsidized slave labor. They don't give a shit about the economic or social consequences illegals inflict on regular Americans. They make a cheap buck at our expense and like it that way. Carpetbaggers.

My father was an MD; my mother a former RN. They both have told me ALL hospitals are forced to provide care irrespective of citizenship or ability to pay. There are hospitals in south texas where illegal mexican women still wet from crossing the rio grande walk right into the ER to have their anchor babies. They will never leave. They pay nothing. WE PAY FOR THEM.

Before the New Deal, immigration was sink or swim.

Food stamps, public housing, welfare, education, free healthcare etc, didn't exist!

Immigrants were forced to make it on their own. Or not make it, at all!

Nowadays, it's swim or we'll hold you up! And most illegals prefer water-wings, a life guard, free swimming lessons and a bed in the pool house!!

Actually no, but I'm through from a long time ago trying to argue facts against the illiterate.
Immigrants work harder, are responsible for far less crime, and generally are a far far lighter burden on the public purse than everyone else.
On top of which, being mostly younger workers, they actually subsidize Social Security for the rest of us. (Yes, they mostly pay taxes, contrary to another easily refuted myth.)
It's not a coincidence that immigration is way down and this is the first year Social Security is spending more than it takes in.
Of course, if immigration is way down, why are the rubes yelling about it?

We're talking about illegal immigrants. Not Western-Europeans or Asians.

Like I already mentioned earlier in the thread - which evidently, you didn't read - nobody is bashing immigrants, in general. So don't get your panties in a knot.

So am I, idiot. Immigrants are immigrants: they come here to work, not to commit mayhem or anything else.
My brother-in-law, down in Mexico, said he could tell things had gotten bad up here because returning folks began coming to him asking for a job.
Now, if they were so tied in to welfare or crime, why would they return when things got bad in the US, and why would the first thing they did when they got back be to look for a job?
