Quote from Cesko:

May 1 used to be the biggest communist holiday in Eastern Europe, that's why the timing. Latinos are bringing bolshevism to America and if they get their wish i will start believing that's the beginning of the end. Huge left-wing voting block demanding rights they are not supposed to have by the law.
It might be the time to start planning an exit strategy. Scary shit.

Cesko you are absolutely wrong.

The reason why May 1st was chosen is because it is the international Labor Day,

I didn't read all the pages in this string but did anyone suggest that all Immigrants could inlist for military training and duty for two years of duty in Iraq to "earn" the right to be an American.? I've an honorable discharge after 6 years of US Army (many decades ago) There have been millions who served this counrtry in combat since 1776. Let some of them do the same. Why the H can't they serve too? It would be good physical and mental training. Replace some of the service men that have been in Iraq over a year already. There's always lots of workers needed in the military. Let'em put in a couple years service first,.
I'll bet half of them (male as well as female) would go back to Mexico rather then support our troops(male and female)who are right now over seas in combat areas... Required military service would seperate out the freeloaders... and I'll guess that's over half of them.

I dont agree with you AGPILOT. I know of many foreigners (specifically latin americans) who still reside in their countries of origin and are part of thier countries ARMED FORCES, them being alies with the US combating terrorism allows them to become US citizens after serving time in IRAQ and they will do it with Pride and Honor. Even though they put their lives in harm ways just to get a taste of the american dream.

Being a resident of Dallas, NO! They need to READ & ACCEPT, history. Emotional plays will not hold any fodder here. It actually makes me question their ability to understand laws, truth and reality as it pertains to them. You didn't take the time to explain to them the truth? Shame on you! Maybe that's part of the problem. You have to speak up when you know better.

I am sure that they are not old enough to have been an actual part of the events of the day, but you can tell them where they can read about it. You do have some responsibility to help your FRIENDS out there. If they are friends? You don't knowingly let friends be wrong. Do you?

So what you are saying is if a certain segment of the world is not happy with the sale of say, the Louisiana Purchase, we need to respect and understand that? :)

I am friends with a few hispanics who are not citizens, and one of there beliefs is that TEXAS is still part of Mexico and that it is their natural right to be here. Do you see the valid integral point now ?

Many of our ancestors arrived to the US legally as they were coming from Europe but in the 1800's it was a piece of cake to legally enter all you had to do is show you could work which is what the majority of todays ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS do here. Also many have entered legally with student or worker visas and then stayed after they expired and become ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. I hear people talk bad about ILLEGAL's but I say a great number of our ancestors either entered as such or became one after some time.

Not really true there. Even though you have stated how they arrived, you didn't address the fact of timeframe nor, resident worker programs. I'm very sure that your ancestors did not leave their homes at the turn of the century to come to America for an immigrant worker need or understanding.

They did not come to America to work for a seasonal need and then return to their country. They came to America to be AMERICANS. You did not get a workers release to stay here and work for one year from Ellis Island in the year 1902. :)

How do you know why they came and if they came to be Americans..they all come for one reason and thats because its better here than there; period...Cause if it where better there than here im sure none would want to be "AMERICANS" ..
