Immigrants Aim To 'Close' US Cities on May 1st

WOW. From April 27 until today (so far) 22 pages of comments on this highly emotional subject and yet when you ask a wannabe Trader what is so important, he will be quick say "you have to keep emotion out of this game"

Well assuming the Wannabe is capable of doing what he preaches, then it is not rocket science to see that his sermon on emotion does not spill over into the rest of his life.

Pray his dams never break or else he is JAW ( just another wannabe)

By the way. Legallise 11M illegals and they will be entitled to the same wages and benefits as their equals.
And so you will need another 11M illegals to take their place otherwise the Wannabes will not be able to afford live in their own country.

If and when this happens it will not be Homeland Security paying for the fence.

It's not about being serious, it';s about being sensitive to people and not using stereotypes. This is what deteriorates disagreements into arguments with physical confrontations. There are many intelligent folks within both camps that you do not consider in your statements.

I will grant you this, this is a serious issue. :)

You guys are too frickin' serious...

Funn they call this the "Immigrant" when it should be "Illegals" aim to close US Cities.

It's the people who illegaly come to this country but expect to be treated like a king that gives immigrants a bad name. That's such a shame.

I have no sympathy for the illegals. If they weren't here, there'll be potential legal immigrants that have been waiting for years and years that will get admitted to this country.

They're like peopel cutting the line but still expect to be treated better than everyone waiting in line.

Quote from gharghur2:

There are zillions of illegals in this country. Not just from Mexcio either. Come to NYC and see for yourself. I could walk a mile here, and never hear english spoken once.
Every century the US goes through a period of massive immigration, legal and otherwise.
Why do you think it's called the melting pot of the world? Why do you think we have been so successful as a nation for centuries? Because we closed our borders and isolated ourselves from the world? No, because we opened our borders and became the world! We are a very strong nation BECAUSE of immigration. Most of us here, now, on this board, wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the last major immigration at the turn of the 20th century.

Mexicans in particular are very hard working, and mostly religious people. Just like the italian, irish and polish of last century. The second generation will be americans with an ethnic background. The third generation will be totally american. They are willing to take menial jobs, the spoiled US kids refuse to do, just to survive. They pay taxes and social security with no hope of ever getting anything back because they are using phoney ID's. Would you do the same? I wouldn't! That's how desparate they are to be here, anywhere, where they can support their families. Maybe it's time the immigration situation is addressed, maybe it isn't. Not sure! But I don't blame these people for being here.

And, if you want someone to blame for so many illegals try the US Department of Immigration, and the President for sitting on his hands. Like he does with everything he is leaving for the next administration.

Where do you think these SS numbers come from ?
As a former home builder, I can tell you the game is to buy a SS number, usually on the internet. The contractor subs out the foundation to Jose, Jose has 10 guys working under him. Jose cashes the check, pays all 10 guys in cash, the contractor sends a 1099 year end to Jose that is using someone elses SS number. Jose never pays a dime in taxes, and the real owner of the SS number gets a pleasant surprise when the sh1t hits the fan and the IRS comes back on him for non payment of taxes.

As far as what they contribute $ wise to the economy.
The ones I know, rent a 3 bedroom house, have 10 people living there, live very frugal, drive a car, have no license or auto insurance and send 80 to 90% of their money back to the families in Mexico every month via western union.

Poor analogy. There are no guns, yet. And the ratios are quite a bit different this time also. Don't just talk/write/blog for effect. Make a valid integral point and let's put it into proper perspective.

If we do this, we might come up with a workable solution. But understand this, with every solution, there will be those who will be unhappy. We call them, the losers in many cases. :)

I am friends with a few hispanics who are not citizens, and one of there beliefs is that TEXAS is still part of Mexico and that it is their natural right to be here. Do you see the valid integral point now ?

They do that down here in Texas to. Back when I was building, once I could not get a slab poured for 2 weeks because they were scared of the raids. Ins actually was coming to the subdivisions and they were running into the woods to escape them. There is a section in my town where illegals hang out to do day labor. About a year ago, INS did a sting and sent a crew cab long bad chevrolet up there to solicit illegal workers. They would pull up, 13 or 14 workers would jump in, and they would drive a few blocks a way and load them up in a paddy wagon and come right back. In one day, the same truck loaded people up 7 times before the workers caught on and fled. I think they deported close to 100 people that day from the sting.
