They don't understand that once the USA becomes like Mexico it will have all the same problems they are running from.

There are zillions of illegals in this country. Not just from Mexcio either. Come to NYC and see for yourself. I could walk a mile here, and never hear english spoken once.

Why do you think it's called the melting pot of the world? Why do you think we have been so successful as a nation for centuries? Because we closed our borders and isolated ourselves from the world? No, because we opened our borders and became the world! We are a very strong nation BECAUSE of immigration. Most of us here, now, on this board, wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the last major immigration at the turn of the 20th century.
Mexicans in particular are very hard working, and mostly religious people. Just like the italian, irish and polish of last century. The second generation will be americans with an ethnic background. The third generation will be totally american. They are willing to take menial jobs, the spoiled US kids refuse to do, just to survive. They pay taxes and social security with no hope of ever getting anything back because they are using phoney ID's. Would you do the same? I wouldn't! That's how desparate they are to be here, anywhere, where they can support their families. Maybe it's time the immigration situation is addressed, maybe it isn't. Not sure! But I don't blame these people for being here.
And, if you want someone to blame for so many illegals try the US Department of Immigration, and the President for sitting on his hands. Like he does with everything he is leaving for the next administration.

A few years down the road these people will demand they receive their Social Security benefits "just like every other American". By that time, they will have the numbers among the population to force the Congress to meet their demands. Can't you see what all this is adding up to?
