You are making the point that as we go forward the federal government may need to either declare martial law or develop an increased presence in cities that are breeding grounds for criminal behavior due to the local culture or poltical cultural. The could be, for example, in sanctuary cities, or in places like Chicago where crime control has collapsed due to local abandonment or its responsibilities, or various cities that have not stepped up to their anti-terrorism responsibilities as local partners and/or have a culture that provides a safe haven or glorification of killers- such as new York featuring a Puerto rican bomber as a hero in a local parade.

I see that we agree on that point. However, I suspect that you will change your mind almost instantly when you see what it looks like in action. You are just in it for the quick shot at Trump. Let us know when you are serious about seeing a larger federal intervention in some of those areas for real. Positioning federal troops on the streets of some areas of Chicago might be a starter.
