No, absolutely not. But I think there should more gun control.
I'd like to know if any of the gun enthusiasts here would agree to a ban on high capacity magazines.
Here's the thing. Let's say the killer has a 10 round magazine rather than a 30. Let's take Sandy Hook as an example. Each kid had 10+ rounds in them. You cut down magazine capacity and they have what? 2-3 rounds in them? They're just as dead. It's an illusion that limited magazine capacity will limit the number killed in a high body count massacre.
Personally I don't think it's the end of the world if magazines have a more limited capacity, but don't expect the body count to go down.
No. First, it won't do anything you're looking for it to do. It takes no time to switch out a 10 clip mag to another (as was demonstrated in a video posted on this forum recently). Second, there are so many of them already out there, so it'll be ineffective. All you'll do is raise the price on them.
As long as you agree to a ban on high-capacity-gang, home invasions.
Well then maybe we need to ban external magazines altogether. An internal magazine of five should be plenty for hunting. Handguns should also be banned. No good reason for them. A shotgun is perfectly adequate for home defense. The close-quarter argument is a feeble one at best.
