The U6 is much better than the U3, but you also have to pay attention to the Labor Force Participation Rate - which is hovering at multi decade lows right now (not good).

Employment was on track to effective 100% of possible anyway. Now the numbers will flatten out. In order to keep the numbers growing, how will Trump the pathalogical liar fudge them? I completely agree. The media typically focus on the "headline" U3 rate.
