No it doesn't. California does. Plus, there is nowhere to drive in Hawaii anyway. Hawaii is not nearly as expensive as people assume unless you work in Honolulu and need a home in Hawaii Kai, or beach front in Lani Kai.
Most areas have decently priced rent or homes by west coast standards. No heating bills. No cooling bills if you live upcountry Maui (absolutely perfect, year round), or on any of the windward shores. Wardrobe expense is virtually nil as shorts and flip flops are accepted nearly everywhere. For biz ya just wear an aloha shirt and slacks. No one expects you to have a nice car cause they usually rust anyway. Not much night life to blow money on.
I am a native of Kailua, Oahu, so I am pretty sure about this stuff.

Trading hours is very important if you intend to pull money out of the market on a daily basis.
I'll say European time is best if you trade kind of DAX+ US markets.
Only US trading I prefer California timing as you are done by 1.30 pm & can attend to other work.(only problem though-you got to sleep early to feel alert by 5.30AM to catch up the market news)
Far East timing is the worst. You start at 9.30/10.30pm till 5AM!!!
I have lived a long time in the far east.(Hong Kong/Sinagapore). I have also done frequent extended visits in Japan,Korea,Australia /UK frequently.
In the recent past lived in California & Miami for 3-4 years.
Right now living in a crappy time zone due to family reasons. GMT +5 1/2.
Sure better than GMT +8 which I was used to.
I Wish I can go back to GMT-8 (california) or just GMT (prefer London/Midlands)!!!!

If your white, then anywhere in Asia. In my travels, I have found that as a white American in Asia, your a stud. Women looking at you and coming up to you to talk. When I walked off the plane and walked through the airport in places like Hong Kong I immediately was stared at by many different women. When I was in Manila, the same thing happened. Everyone from the lady cop at the airport to the women at the mall to the ladies at my company's office. It felt like I was the high school quarterback who just won the big game.
Having lived in and around NYC all my life, I have found that finding ready and willing women is a time consuming matter. First, you have to be able to talk well enough. Second, you have to go around the city to different places, venues and events. Third, most of the women in NYC are not that high quality anyway and just looking for some guy to spend money on them. They ultimately use you for whatever cash and emotions you have left and then you find yourself an emotional/cashless waste having to start the above process all over again. They are not that good in bed anyway.
In comparison, I am the football hero in Asia. (In reality, in NYC, I am just a 30-something has been.)
