If they legitimately beat Trump in 2020, why do they want to prevent him from running in 2024?

But what if it were true? Is there any shame In admitting that a majority of every society are complete idiots and fearful followers who can be talked into virtually anything? Add emotional instability and you have the perfect citizen to be controlled, influenced, and talked into whatever the fuehrer wants. That we still ponder over 9/11 that many years after perfectly demonstrates how emotionally weak we are. Most in North America grew up in such isolated and insulated environments that they have hardly ever experienced anything impactful in life. Any sneaky snake oil salesman can influence such people.

I disagree, it does not only work with hate. It also happens to emotionally unstable people, and those of low education and intellect. Education is still the best vaccine against poverty but education has become a monopoly only attainable to those who can pay the ridiculous amounts charged for or take on life long debt burdens.

Trump did not calculate the ramifications of unleashing an insurrectionist mob on the Capitol to illegally stop the certification of the states’ electoral votes. Now the congress is pushing back on the lies, violence and sedition and you’re asking why?

Seems pretty cause and effect to me.
 
What makes you say that Trump did not calculate that risk? Perhaps it was the perfect outcome Trump could have wished for. He now has the perfect excuse not to surrender and not to appear at any inauguration. To many he will sell this as him still being the president. One thing I truly believe what many right wing pundits say: the movement has just begun. This is the sad truth.

Some of this is right. Donald Trump went all around the south carpetbagging in 2016, stirring up the rubes for his con. Build a wall that Mexico’s going to pay for - give everyone great healthcare by getting rid of the state lines -

The whole thing was a con. He just went around republican districts talking like your drunk uncle and telling everyone it’s so easy and all we are going to do is win. But the truth is he is just a New York City con man that ran a huge scam on Republican voters and they got nothing but trouble for their time and effort and support.

I suppose a second impeachment was a sort winning strategy but that also puts huge dampeners on his existing businesses.
 
if we remember (2015/16) that he did all this first place just to boost his ego, for publicity, and never really expected, let alone wanted to be prez ... so sad.
 
Trump has lost all political juice, the tank is on empty.Just because he got 74 million votes does not mean he has, or ever had 74 million supporters anymore than Biden has 80 million supporters. A huge percentage of these votes are I hate the other guy votes.
Whatever support Trump had among power players is gone. All he has now are the most radical elements of the right, which is a substantial number for organizing riots, but does nothing for him professionally speaking. At this point he can only hurt the party, something which I fully expect him to do. He tried working within the system and now his goal will be to collapse the system. Who knows, he may partner up with Antifa. Politics makes for strange bedfellows.
