If the President Elect is Impeached who is sworn in?

Answer: No one. the President goes on being the President unless he is convicted. Example, Clinton was impeached, but the Senate failed to convict . He remained President continually throughout the impeachment trial and until the end of his term.

Scenario: Comey panels a grand jury and charges are brought against Hillary, can she (if elected) be impeached before taking oath, and if so who becomes POTUS?

The President cannot be impeached before taking the oath of office. The previous President is the President until the new President takes the oath of office. After taking the oath and duly being installed in the office of the President, the Senate can start impeachment proceedings.

There won't be anything new or startling. It's Comey covering his ass and answering criticism that the FBI wasn't thorough enough. There never was anything there to warrant more than a slap on the wrist. Myriad similar cases back up Comey's decision. Where there has been actual indictments, the cases are vastly different compared to the Clinton situation. I'll be the first to eat crow if anything sufficient to warrant an indictment turns up. I am confident it won't.

Bullshit!

Every email taken off the Secured Government Server and resent to Hillary's private unsecured server was a federal offense. Several people have been convicted on far less. There's ample evidence and legal precedent to justify indictment.

Maybe you'll get lucky and get to serve on the grand jury. I guess it was a big mistake to put the wedding plans on the government server, Huh.

When I emailed Hillary last I just emailed her at her email address, I did not pay attention to who's server my email was going to. Guess I should have been paying attention.

God, I hope for your sake you haven't removed any labels from mattresses . Don't know what the statute of limitations is for that one is.

I would imagine pie is correct in his assessment. There probably won't be anything new, just more evidence of reckless disregard for standard procedure, and gross negligence which would have anyone else facing prosecution. Even if there is something new, it will be dismissed and added to the lengthy list that democrats so willfully ignore.

I don't know.... they are saying now that investigative agents knew about this in early October. If it was just more of the same, I think Comey would have come out and said something along those lines in his letter Friday. Something wicked this way comes.;)
