That would be a good point except Cons aren't pro choice.
the cost of my families insurance went from under 500 dollars a month to over 1000. And it is the same or worse for many other taxpayers. Over 6 grand a year sucked out of my family. For no reason. All those billions in waste and advertising could have just been given to those who don't pay or our subsidized.
Millions of people can't afford health insurance and don't have it still.
Don't act like obamacare is great. Obamacare is despised by the people who actually pay for health insurance.
You want to fix the problem. Do it properly. Don't destroy the taxpayers... to favor some other group. Take care of that group fine... but don't destroy us.
Its time congress does a good job on this and does not steal the money from us.

I would also like to remind people... that cost sharing idea is crap.
if you jack up the costs by 100 percent and then subsidize some but not others... you have created a scheme to selective target and rob those with a little extra money of the liquidity. You don't really know the costs should be and the subsidies are a trick.

You had a family health insurance plan for $500 a month? I find that hard to believe unless it was through an employer. Even a $1000 a month today is pretty reasonable unless it’s through an employer. Then your employer is ripping you off.
People with employer plans saw the slowest growth in premiums in the last 8 years than they have in the last 50 years. Obamacare has been great for group plans.
I had a 10 thousand dollar deductible and still do.
I hold multiple licenses. Back then I was able to get good prices through different large group plans.
I selected the best one.

Typically a seller would price at the margin to bring in most money and profit.
If it prices higher it begins to lose customers and profits and encourages competition to get involved.
However when you have govt subsidizing the costs you can charge those higher and higher prices to some without losing customers.
In short you can extract much more money from people.
When the govt gets involved and forces people to buy insurance you can extract the max dollars from every family. Its not capitalism and a free market place.
Its distorted crony socialism.
