If Canadian politics is leading indicator for the US, the republicans are in trouble

Yeah, I know. You agree with the policies, but not the outcomes. In any event, the policy initiatives were given Arthur Laffer's blessing. Laffer, the economic advisor behind the Reagan "economic miracle."

As I said, I agree with some policies, some I do not. If you'd like to call out specific policies, I'd be happy to give you my viewpoint on them. Or you could just continue making shit up and telling me what I believe in - that seems to be the easier path for you.

But Kansas has little to do with Florida, and is certainly not my view of utopia.

Yes, I'm sure you'd be delighted to give everyone some after-the-fact advice. Maybe start with jem, letting him know that tax cuts don't always, automatically and magically increase government revenues. He's still struggling under the burden of that mistaken belief. I don't remember you ever correcting any of his posts in your many "debates" with others on economic policy, where you two generally sided with one another.

Some after-the-fact advice? I apologize, but my telepathy has been down for quite some time now (probably age related, but you'd know better about that). I cannot exactly give you my opinion on something when I don't know what it is you want my opinion on.

I also don't consider it my job to go after and clean up Jem's posts on this forum. When I notice him saying something I disagree with, I certainly call it out. Can you show me posts where you've called out Ricter, Covertibility or any of the left on...well...anything at all? I can show you where I've challenged Jem, that's for sure.

Any other shit you want to make up? Get it all off your chest now, Freddy. Vent away. You'll feel better.

Justin Trudeau victory in Canada is bad news for U.S. conservatives

"
(CNN)According to the Reputation Institute, it is the "most admired" nation on earth. Immigrants flock there from all over the world -- for the most part politely standing in line for the opportunity.

Taxes seem to get lower every year and the government runs a surplus. Burdensome regulations have been slashed and the tax code's been rewritten to encourage business investment and pro-family policies. Abroad, it's taking the fight to ISIS with a reinvigorated military, standing side by side with Israel and against aggression from the mullahs of Iran and Vladimir Putin's Russia.

No, it's not three years into the Marco Rubio administration -- it's present-day Canada, and its courageous leader just got booted out of office after nine years of steadily maneuvering the ship of state...."

Try to follow your own breadcrumbs, age notwithstanding. You'd be happy to give your viewpoint on certain of Kansas's policies (since that is what we were talking about, or did you switch channels again?). Now that they have already played themselves out. You know, after the fact. Trying to get you to focus is like herding cats.

Vent away. You'll feel better.
Yeah, I see how it's working wonders for you.

Ah, so you first claim Kansas is my version of utopia, but when I say it isn't and I explain why, then you try to fall back on how it's after the fact and worthless? Can you show any posts I made where I supported Kansas actions before they occurred? You know, to support your claim that it is my utopia?

Why don't you tell me what you want me to say here? This way you can just piss off and pretend you won the argument you made up.

No need to explain away your embarrassment with the actual, real-world outcome of fiscal policies that dovetail with your own ideology. I'm sure it's just a blip on the road to full-on tax cut glory.

As an aside, no one does obtuse like you do. You elevate it to an art form.

In the internet world I despise those who lie about others arguments to get out of their own stupid argumentation.

I have stated 100 times that revenues went up after tax cuts.
I have explained that Keynes has advised such a course of action may be wise to get out of economic slowdowns.

And when you or others like you have tried to pin your exact deceptive strawman statement on me... I stated that no one can say that the tax cuts caused revenues to go up for sure because you can't take all other factors out of the equation. Just like you can't say revenues would have been higher if not for the tax cuts...because economic models are not reality. What we do know is that tax cuts have been followed by revenues increases in real world tax receipts.

Period...

So stop lying and admit to reality. Tax cuts have been followed by tax revenue increases.

No one is arguing automatically. I have been explaining curves and dynamic systems to those of you who can't think in systems for years. Somewhere on the curve tax cuts work... somewhere on the curve they don't. The questions are where are we on the curve and where on the curve to cuts switch from pro revenue growth to anti revenue growth. So far, with respect to recent cuts we have found ourselves to be on the part of the curve that allows for cuts and still have revenue increase. So I say cut until cuts don't work. In general any thinking person not biased by stupidity or politics would agree.

What did CNN say about Canada's taxes?

Taxes seem to get lower every year and the government runs a surplus.

Better get that conservative party out of office before people start getting the impression that tax cuts don't make a 'smoldering ruin' out of a country. Citizens must be made to realize the truth.
