i am doner with IB. as futures trader i got no reason to hang about and put up with rape for the sake. top that two threads on the issue and no rep can't be bothered to give directions...well, OEC wait for moi. you may wanna think folllow suit, innit.

To the snivelers:
You run a widget mfg business. Your widget consists of 2 components, a "thingy" which you produce in-house, and a "thingamajig" which comes from an outside supplier. Overall, thingamajig suppliers are many and very competitive, however the exact thingamajig used in your widget is not available through all thingamajig suppliers. Your thingamajig supplier just increased prices by 80%. What will you do? Oops, rhetorical question: you do nothing. IB owns your business and your arse.

FYI, the probable reason no one our end replied is that the decision on margin doesn't come from those posting on this board.

In any event, I hear margin levels will should be set back to the old 50% levels perhaps as early as tomorrow).

Thanks for the reply Def, its appreciated...also good to hear that IB does indeed intend to lower them.
