IB - No Data again?

IB what is going on over there? I thought these problems were straightened out last year?

My data is shutting down and sticking ---all over the place.

Get it together IB.
 
Open E Cry here I come. I will probably open up an account there this week. I have data on futures and stocks here though. Today (knock on wood) hopefully will not be a repeat of yesterday.
 
Well, in defense of IB, I have used them actively since 2003 and they have been very good on the whole. I don't expect good customer service/hand holding from them because that is not what I pay for. Their platform has been very reliable over the years. People do expect reliable electronic platforms but outages happen at every broker so it is prudent to get a backup in any case. On the whole IB is still very good, yesterday aside.

I agree with your post. I have seen more data problems with IB in the last 5 months than in the previous 3 years. I am sure they will straighten it out. Timberhill will not put up with data problems.
 
In the past, I,ve had to close two accounts with IB because I couldn't log in. Last time was over 3 years ago. Still waiting to see if they will ever clear up their mess.
 
I am in Europe without problems until now. knock knock on wood. I hope yesterday will be not repeated as minimum 30 days.
 
I am a fan of IB and would like to expand the use their service but yesterday gives me pause. Especially with absolutely ZERO explanation of what happened and how it is being addressed.
