1) I chuckle a little every time I see new hotkeys get added, while my simple request for a "kill switch" (cancel all) hotkey gets ignored.
Am I really the only one that needs the ability to instantly cancel all orders when "something bad" happens? The amount of time (e.g. 2 seconds) it takes to select Cancel All from the menu can make the difference between getting hit or not.
Even without something bad happening, I routinely use cancel all to kill my orders prior to scheduled news (e.g. at 08:30 EDT). It's a lot faster than sending all the individual cancels through the API. It would be nice to have a hot-key shortcut for this.
2) On a related issue, would anyone else like to see the ability for IB's servers to cancel all your open orders if you are disconnected for some configurable period of time? Internet connectivity in my local area has become spotty because of problems that Verizon is having. I'd worry less if, when I get disconnected for more than 30 seconds (i.e. more than just a momentary interruption), all my orders were killed to cut my exposure.
