IB Down again?

Akami had a global outage and DNS servers need to be re-routed. We are in the process of doing that. Most servers should be out now and working on the rest.

Quite a time for the system to go down. Just when the australia market was rising on a weak market and was about to fall.

Yes! Seems most of the banks here in Australia were also down at the same time.

and Euronext Exchange was down after I had an open position.

Sometimes this happens because of maintenance or any server update. Not sure but I guess so.

it is not nonsense. It does happen at IB every night. IB loose connection once every 24 hours (any farm, slightly past midnight of farm time). We are in US, and it was typically between 12:10-12:30am window. Markets are open at this time, and we had enough issues with entering and exiting positions (not often but often enough), to make us switch to another broker.

However, the issue of this thread, has nothing to do with it.
