IB connection problems AGAIN

So for some that are complaining, maybe many of the problems are the result of always asking for "more" and more. Many did this and still keep on asking, without realizing that the basic requirements such as stability, speed, effectiveness. and reliability
could be compromised in favor of fancy layouts, column widths, better fond selection and color backgrounds etc.

If the workstation doesn't perform as one expects then either adapt or go elsewhere. It will free up bandwidth and maybe let the programers focus on the basic requirements. After all, our money is on the line. If the background is black or gray we don't care. What we mostly care about is that the orders to go in, are executed and do come back.

Just few thoughts

Good luck to all

InteractiveBrokers, used to have another trading workstation version 3.0. It was discontinued October 2001. Some of us traded it until the last day.

It was the most reliable fast and easy to use little execution program that I have seen for remote trading.

Josh: I totally agree with you 100% on every thing you said in your post. I started using TWS 3.0 in March 2000. I thought then and still think now that IB should have made a few improvements to TWS 3.0 and stayed with it. I still go back and use 3.0 at times and I think it is still working. I used 3.0 for months after the Java version was released.
