I want to bet the farm

When I see this I want to bet the farm, do you? I believe this is one of those rare opportunities to make extraordinary amounts of capital on the back of worldwide buildup to increased volatility. I don't normally overcommit, but when price breaks that TL I want to bet the farm this time :)

Don't go to the woods if you are afraid of wolves! No risk, no champagne!

It's not anyone's trade, it's my trade :) But thanks for the insight.

Luck is a very important factor in everybody's trading, especially so for retail. You can research all your life to be able to see every market's turn or you can go with only the biggest turns and increase risk as you aren't placing 10 trades per day x 5 x whatever, but perhaps 1 trade a year, but A REALLY BIG ONE :)

The bigger the risk, the bigger the outcome.

Logic is simple, instead of daytrading using 1% risk to capital multiple times a day, etc you place one big trade once or twice a year, when opportunity ripens.

Never bet the farm on one single trade! Rule of Black Swans is "expect the unexpected" IE they come about when you think you have covered every possibility...Trading is not a get rich quick scheme....

I tend to agree with you, but not quite yet... surf

Go for it, but bear markets have savage retracements. Make sure a fast 50% retracement doesn't make you hit your choke point. Easier said than done.

Don't lose the farm.
Imho, if you must make a big bet, then bet with gains to be recognized in the current year. Don't bet big with your "principal."
