I am surrounded by conservatives daily. I've - not once - ever heard any single one of them ever say anything about "The Confederacy". Ever, like my whole life.

maybe not the.exaggerated stats made up in the other post but when I am in New Orleans for example it.was.not hard to run across some.confed flag.waivers.

Luckily that generation.is.dying off...

I don't doubt it, but the statement "half the population is mad the South lost" is a bit hyperbolic to say the least.

There are people who I've read about that want the Soviet Union to come to America, too - on the left. Do I believe that's representative of the left as a whole? Of course not.

I used to live in New Orleans/Metairie.There is so much love for The Confederacy down there you'd think they were Gods.There are probably more streets named for Confederates than any other place.
