I dont want to short TSLA

TSLA is the first company i have successfully traded with humonguous large gain after 10+ years of unsuccessful trading. It is a special name for me and after that event, I have first time ever, concluded, that I could be successful in trading options. It appears TSLa is having a again a test of time and good short opportunity. But I decided whatever the opportunity for short is, decided not to do, one and only one exception of making decision based on emotion rather than rationality, because I support ideologically everything Elon Musk doing.
Not really sure the point of this thread. If you don't want to short it, then don't short it.

He's not a genius. He's a guy with a LOT of money who hires other people to do the thinking for him. Musk didn't work out how to get a landable rocket booster to work. He just thought of the idea, and paid some other people to figure out how to do it.

If I had his money, I could also try to implement some ideas I have. All it takes is funding. Anyone remember the Space Shuttle? Lots of folks had the idea, not just one person, but it took a LOT of money and a LOT of people to make it a reality.

And how many of Musk's ideas has he paid for that did NOT work, that we never hear about?

Probably proportionally the same amount as NASA's failed ideas.

Musk needs to stop spending his money on trying to get back to the moon, or bullshit orbits in space, or trying to colonize Mars, or sending a Tesla into an eternal orbit with Mars! (WTF was with that anyways? He was just living his boyhood fantasy of the Heavy Metal movie. That move did not escape us, Elon)...

He needs to be on the forefront of FTL tech, theoretical particle physics, quantum theory research. He needs to spend the money for the super-long outlook, not the merest 50 years in front of his face. Oi!

In some way, I do I agree that others getting paid for him for his ideals.

He should fire all his workers and single handedly do all of jobs of thousands of employees' work alone, including design, manufacturing, troubleshooting, software and hardware engineering, all by himself, not to mention taxes, building factories, not only design of car he should also invent and design the battery himself, payrolls to himself, legal compliance, workplace HVAC, food preparation. He should all do that by himself without hiring any one. :D:D:D

Hey guys, Marc Cuban is a genius 'cuz he has an empire. That Warren Buffet guy? genius

Hey guys, Marc Cuban is a genius

Because:

1. He cashed out on the top.
2. He protected his cashing out with an option trade, so his paper wealth wouldn't disappear in the holding period.
3. He does what he likes, spends fortunes on his hobby as he should.
4. He doesn't sleep on the factory floor.

OK, changing of heart, or spoiler, but for good. I feel like shorting now. why? Just sitting in the startup pitch event now, guy disclosed, musk is not in the car business after all, it is just a facade, in a decade or so, he is going to own probably 90% of charging stations creating his own Saudi Arabia of charging station. Musk prob'ly does not give a crap about whether tesla goes down. Well I dont see harm in shorting. makes sense.
