I Bailed

Gold, oil are highly cyclical you always have to be aware of where you are in the cycle. What is interesting ( especially in Canada ) is that when they sell off they get ridiculously cheap. Gold miners were extremely good from March-August, and have been mediocre to bad since. However, Cdn energy was almost as bad September-October and since then it's been the best NA sector to be in. Many stocks have doubled since October ( some tripled ).
Yup, below is XMM, Australian Metals & Mining Index, (scale in %) same thing....
Western Australia goes through booms and busts.
Mining towns too, RE housing goes from super cheap to super expensive, towns turn into ghost towns.
Great thing about humans - short memories. :)

It's great we have short memories, because if we didnt, new young blood would not keep rushing in to fill the trenches.
That's how evolution works, for every 99 who fail, 1 gets through to make an improvement.

Commodity rally picking up steam. Today might be a catch up day for Gold and Silver miners that are not fully reflecting the recent run up in Gold and Silver. Copper really strong; I am unsure if I'll add to my Copper miners given the likely gap up and everything else is somewhat bullish as well.

Kinross reports tomorrow night might be a good low risk buy this morning. Higher risk plays would be Fortuna ( reports tonight ) and Endeavour Silver ( reports tomorrow morning ) but I do think Fortuna will easily retrace the recent big drop when it bought a Gold miner. Endeavour may be a little late to jump in.

I'm not buying any metals atm due to already stretched.
The exception: Nickel is underperforming.
Gold & Silver, well I have enough positions, not gonna add, besides in future gonna wean off this commodity.
A surprise metal explorer might pop up, so I'm always anticipating something, but my breakout rules are strict and these types usually happen infrequently, maybe 1 per month, but then usually on speccy breakouts I go in small as they are small caps/nano cap.

Milk powder stocks in Australia getting hammered, this due to China assholes playing usual stupid games with companies they have an interest in. Drive it up, then drive it down into floorboards, then takeover.
As mentioned previously, if you see mainland Chinese directors (or Hong Kong now) on the board of directors, RTFA!
Chinese directors fuck up everything, share price will get wrecked.

Sometime, somewhere, there'll be a trading halt, takeover offer and price will leap a few percent, whoopdefuckindo.
