I am thinking about going short in the YM late today 03.22.07

Im still sht 2 .... B/E = 791. Not good right now.

i wanted to "experiment" with a longer hold period say from a couple of days to two wks. Could be an expensive experiment.
We'll see.

I havent been able to trade the last few days and im still sht since
last week. Im finding out what its like to hold a futures position for more than a couple of days... ouch!! Damn ... where is the burn ointment? Im thinking about opening another acct to just trade futures- day trade only. That would make it easier to hold some contracts a few days and do my usual trading in the other acct.
 
have you a different market such as ER2, NQ or ES. They move close to the same and you only need one account.

Do you have a stop in place for your long term trade? The way this market is struggling up on bad news any good news could really send it up.

Yeah...ES would prob be my choice in the future. Stp at 14200 for
now but that could change. I may be able to take a trade or two
the first couple of wk days depending on when I can get to my PC.
Hindsight. i could have gotten out with about 20 a few sessions back....mabe i shoulda have.
 
did have a chance to peek at the market late friday. took one
little trade looking for 10. ...didnt happen. out +4.

got out that last tradelate last nite with only +6.

today i had a couple of chances to sit down and look at what was happening.

this cycle: +6 +4 +6 +6 = +22. commish(tic equiv) = 3.4
Im still sht 1 car.
