I am thinking about going short in the YM late today 03.22.07

Ok, i think im done for tonite....maybe, we will see.

i still need to post last friday's trades. There were over 40 of them. i finally ended up with net loss approx $51.

RCJ...I see you are a "massive" YM trader...how many YM trades do you make per day?...how many contracts at once?...is it (the YM) the only contract you trade?why do you like it?...thanks!!!

Hey Increase ... ha ha ....im just a baby trader - still very new and also just a piker trader. im only trading one lots for now. last mo i was up $200 but im dwn over $400 so far in Aug. The most trades ive made in RTH was about 43 and that was Aug 10. learning to deal with VIX > 23 is a challenge for me.

how do you use VIX to trade off of?
 
Increase,

i dont directly. But, at my ability level right now, i have gotten the best results, it seems, when VIX is between about 15 and 21.

For the YM the inside can move at blazing speed. I work off of
a price ladder/DOM and mouse to execute so with high volatility
there is little time to adjust targets/stops. Ive had trades close in as little as 1 sec and several more in less than 5 sec. :eek:

One change im going to make is use an initial stp of about 15 or more. That would give me a little time to move a stp closer to the market if im losing.

This was nice. Two other very similar trades in the evening the past two nites.
But ... im still getting my a$$ handed to me this mo over all.

No trding RTH last couple of days. ive really got beat up.
If i try to do any trding Fri it will have to be after lunch.

tonite .... -15 +30 = +15. im done
