Tsing, you've got to try an M-14 or one if its carbine gas variants. I think you might like the power.

I like the idea that people cannot take shelter behind cinderblocks or wooden revetments with 7.62x51mm ammo.

I've ordered from Bud's in the past, and the insurance and guarantees are second to none. It's worth it to pay an extra $150 to know that if my gun gets to me and has something wrong with it, Bud's will replace it at no cost to me.

Although I have ordered repeatedly from cheaper than dirt. Peace of mind and solid customer support is always worth a few extra bucks imo.

They can be a little flakey. I buy a few accessories from them but would be reluctant to buy a gun from them.

I think I might be a liberal compared to you guys.

I am still contemplating a hand gun or shotgun for home protection...
I have thought about it for a few years but have not pulled the trigger. I did buy a Bear Grylls machete, so I got that going for me.
