Not at all. His name is still the same. He just removed an “i” in the middle so it is spelled as it is pronounced. He isnt hiding his heritage unlike a guy like Mitchell Michaels or Howard David.
I think they give the furniture names so that you are a little less likely to treat them as the inanimate objects that they are while trying to assemble them. Because if they didn't have names to "humanize" them, then people would surely take a hammer to those puzzle pieces. Years ago, I purchased a few items of furniture at Ikea. It's amazing how you can catch up on all your swearing and screaming in a single afternoon.
Seriously, WTF is your problem? Maybe you need to assemble a few pieces of Ikea furniture.
