The main thing I worry about is there won't be people willing to work crappy jobs. However, I think it could be used to end some of the worst health issues even if we require some of it to random to prevent a lack of diversity in skills.

Honestly, I admit I was just going along with the picking which skin color is superior out of my asshole. I haven't analyzed all the pros and cons of each. If they can't receive as much Vitamin D, that could potentially be a drawback.

It's a touchy subject and no scientist want to touch it. I'm not on the "black people are stupid" camp but the brain is tied to your genes just like your muscles, the color of your skin, the size of your junk, etc... Brain size, neuron count, gray matter/white matter, brain partitioning, all these are dictated to a major degree by genetics. You mate two physics phd's, the likelihood of that kid being smarter than the offspring of two ditchdiggers is fairly slanted.
I have a feeling that just like all evolution, environmental factors drive natural selection and people in cities competing against other animals of intellect (through warfare, trade, etc...) will naturally develop mechanisms for survival different than those nomadic people competing against the elements, predators, famine, etc...
