I am leaving InteractiveBrokers after 6 months due bad experiences

We do not recommend WIFI. But again, you have no control of the route your internet provider takes to the destination. I'm not talking about upload, download speed. That is important for data movement and a stable connection. It is like some allow you to drive from NYC to Boston on two highways and some take 12 and local roads.

@Robert Morse

Well, i tried many different internet provider (phone, home's internet, wifi hotspot public, starbucks's inter) but it didn't help to me. I used many different devices in my tests (iphone 10, ipad 7 and 2 differet notebooks) but no solution.

If you mean this problem is because of my distance to their services, this can be reason, but not sure. I won't give any broker or trader software name here because people are so much paranoid and think i am promoting... But i am using demo version of different platforms and they work incredibely fast! I ask myself why i suffered months long on IB...

There is an option in TWS that you can change the servers but it doesn't help at all. I didn't notice any difference. But thanks.

That's not the option I'm talking about. To change data servers you need to contact IB and ask to be changed to EU server farm, others being Chicago/US, Connecticut/US, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong but my info might be dated.

Latency and bandwidth are two different things. Nowadays for trading bandwidth isn't an issue but latency is. You might have 100mbit connection that is worse for trading than a 20mbit connection...

From your experience which one is best for US stocks?

My location is Asia and I had a latency issue with Rithmic. Changing server to Singapore or Tokyo solved my issue then. I used many different platforms with same Rithmic connection and all platforms were affected by this issue.

Depends on your location or where the connection is from, generally use the server closest to you. I'm not so particular about speed so my cloud in NY connects to the servers in Illinois, close enough for my purposes. Also the Illinois server farm seems to be very stable but don't take my word for it.

Look at the history of the OP. Complains about everything and not much credibility and prob low value account,.

and he expected people to read his mind.

This time, he did a good job; and he is man of many words.
