In the last few days I managed to bring my account from $700 to $1300 today with no down days. However, I could potentially make a lot more money than that but I'm stuck at making only a few dollars. The biggest one day profit this week was $180. But I want to be able to make a lot more than that. One reason for this is because I'm not trading for the entire day.

What can I do to get over this and get to the point where making $500 or $1000 or even $2000 seems like a normal day? Or should I just be glad I'm not losing?

Final Blowout.

Down $390 on four trades. Again, I let one bad bad turned into a disaster by not obeying my sell rules. I think I've notice a pattern in my destructive behavior. Each day the first one or two trades are usually good. It's when I get to a trade that was bad or one that had a profit that end in a loss or b/e or miss a good trade, that I start abandoning my rules. I start revenge trading on impulse. This is probably a part of my psychological profile. As long as I have a small account, it'll always be there.

The best I can do may be to just set some defensive rules:
- Make only one or two trades for the day. If it goes against me just let it go and take the rest of the day off.
- Set a maximum daily loss. Not much help but necessary.
- On the first trade of the day, only take the very best setup. If it works out, I may continue trading. If it doesn't I should consider leaving.

This is the final blowout as no more money is left. I don't know how I'll rebuild from this. I may do one more attempt with one more trade as an all-or-nothing. After that who knows.

I swear I think I'm being cursed.

I blew up with a $305 loss on two trades. I initially took a short position but didn't worked out, but was prepared to get out with a $45 loss. Then for some reason I went long at a price area I identified earlier as a good place to short. It turns out I ended up going long near a high. I figured with how strong the market was I would wait it out. But it fell much further than I wanted and I was forced to exit due to a margin call. Then it turns out I exited at a major low. Truly amazing how terrible my luck was today.

I'll post a chart in a little bit so you can see.

I may be able to refund but I'm gonna take a break. I think the flaw in my system is the quick reaction time needed to time reversal accurately with then makes myself susceptible to making emotional impulsive errors. It works great on paper, but very hard to do in live trading.

As for the position: still holding 26 and the balance is around -4K (with overall +10K booked). Waiting at 1217 to unload another 5.

As for posting. I no longer post trading related stuff or stay active in ES Journal. Sadly most threads end up the way this one is. High school kids playing with 5K accounts dreaming of being profitable and joining Trump for lunch. LOL.

I have been registered on ET since 2006 and was lurking for about 6 months prior to that. My account does not have 10.000 posts in its count. I have not changed my handle since day one. I do not start new threads every day and I am not an attention whore like sadly some on ET proudly are.

The reason for this thread was that most of the time I finish my trading day happy with some $$$ in the bank. Unfortunately, from time to time the market is not cooperating and I get squeezed. I just wanted the folks to see, feel, and participate in my ride.

Like I said I almost never put this kind of cars/money on the line. This trade was unusual and stupid to which I admitted at the start of this threat. I got cocky and almost had a financial knock down. We all get careless, the difference is that I also got a bit lucky. Will the outcome be the same next time around? I hope there will not be a next time.
