Funny how during the Inquisition, Christians burned and tortured people who they thought were heretics. How many young boys feel safe in the Catholic Church lately? I equate the stupidity of claiming one religion is righteous and the rest are all wrong and our lives should be controlled by it.

I can’t disagree that morality is not dependent on religion but I do disagree with the idea that religion is meaningless without empathy. Religion can be almost anything. I think Taoism if fairly devoid of empathy in its teachings.
