On a more serious note, when you have a country that takes on more refugees than any other country in the world, when you have a country that pays and makes transfer payment to the rest of Europe more than any other country and then push them into a corner where they cannot escape I think you should not be surprised about the potential outcomes. You will either get the middle finger, a punch into your ugly face, or other inconveniences thrown your way. There are nations that always talk and watch from the outside, and then there are nations that actually do and try to make this world a slightly better place. You will see that the goodwill that Germany is acquiring right now will last for a very long time and the goodwill the UK on the other hand is destroying with its selfish and self-serving attitude will also go a long way. Big picture, that is what smart politicians and statesmen/women focus on.
I think nobody other than pure haters find the slightest reason Germany is interested in anything but peaceful co-existence and promoting multilateral growth and Germany has worked hard over the past 60 years to prove it belongs to the latter group. I write this for everyone else, not that I believe you will in the slightest be convinced to put your hatred to rest. No relatives of mine were holocausted, I have held management positions at several German multinationals in my career and I know them well enough to say they are very much like the Dutch. I have only encountered one miserable German so far, that sees hatred for Germans everywhere and in everyone, and that is you. Sure, no nation progresses without the slightest mistakes but where the UK, France, Israel, US, Russia, ... have sold arms and fanned conflicts, civil wars, mass killings around the world I do not recall Germany has delivered major arms to puppet empires or those with the intention to wipe others off the map, at least not on a grand scale. Further, no other nation in the world currently has a more educated, intelligent, wiser statesman/woman than Merkel. No other nation produces superior products that export as well as German ones. On superior products, the worst car I ever owned was a BMW 330i. Germans are good at producing middle of the road mass products.
