You don't have to be a "bitter old man" to notice that something is up with these Millennials. I'm in my 30's and people just 5 years younger than me seem extremely naive. How does an oil rich nation like Venezuela get that screwed up?They blame America for the fall in oil prices. Sure Socialism is at fault there but really it does not seem to matter what form of government these South American countries select...they will always be 3rd world and screwed up. Nothing innovative or future focused happens in these places.

Sweden is bending over backwards to accommodate Muslims, why I don't know? The government is actually commandeering properties to house these muslim refugees. Will socialism continue to be successful in Sweden as growing numbers of refugees continue to do nothing but take and not contribute there? A society of parasites and do-nothings is unsustainable regardless of what it calls itself. Apathy to those observations is a one way ticket to 2nd and 3rd World Status. I would argue there are many pockets in America that are now 2nd World Status. To the inhabitants of those areas it is actually a huge upgrade for them since they are accustomed to 3rd World conditions. As the new masses continue to lower the aggregate level of American standards the only thing standing between the rich and the 3rd world folks is whatever is left of our dwindling Middle Class.
You know you're right, you look at the trailer parks and Walmarts in the states at the bottom of the GDP per capita list (Alabama, Idaho, South Carolina, Arkansas, West Virginia, and Mississippi, 45-50 respectively) and it's almost third world. Well if you're really third world you're literally going hungry and it doesn't look like any of these folks have gone hungry for a long time, but still, it's pretty much the same. And you know what, it doesn't matter how much money we pour into those states full of "parasites and do-nothings", in fact it turns out there's a good bit of overlap between your "third world" US and the five bottom states on the "take" more federal dollars than they contribute list (Tennessee, Louisiana, Alabama, New Mexico, and Mississippi, again 45-50 with Mississippi taking the most over what they contribute). As these meth lab infested trailer parks continue to mass, there's really not much left between the rich and the dwindling middle class, except perhaps all those blue states that on aggregate contribute far more to the federal government than they take and make up for the those states that "take but not contribute".

Unfair treatment? By whom?
life is unfair because student debt has not been extinguished. life is unfair because no one wants to hire you with your liberal arts degree, life is unfair because you cannot live in NYC etc.. who is the cause? the one per centers.

I work with plenty of millennials who are doing spectacular innovative things in the social enterprise space and making a big difference in the lives of others. What are you doing to make the world a better place, or are you just banging out grumpy old man rants about "kids these days"?

The Myth of the Millennial Entrepreneur The generation cheered for its start-up mentality is actually starting companies at the lowest rate in 25 years. <http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2016/07/the-myth-of-the-millennial-entrepreneur/490058/>

Then why are you so eager to import more 2nd and 3rd world people to the United States? Let us deal with our own home grown problems. No nation on the planet is looking at Muslims and saying "gosh we better bring over as many as we can or we will lose our edge!". Every nation has problems, importing and inviting people who have no desire to assimilate does nothing. Tell me how that assimilation is going in France with its "no-go zones". Look at what Germany is having to deal with. What does having an open border with Mexico do for us? How does that benefit the United States? Can you name any advantages to importing refugees here like Germany is doing?

Is that so? I thought that according to the DNC economy is doing great and unemployment is at record low.

So how will we make it more fair? By making the rich to pay us while we stay at home?

Oh, I'm sorry. You weren't talking about trailer parks with white folks in them, were you. You were talking about dark skinned immigrants with maybe a few black inner city folks thrown in. I'm sorry, I was just using that whole data and math thing, it can be confusing.

remember Obama's statement I would like the US to be more like France.
http://www.westernjournalism.com/obama-like-u-s-look-like-france/
"Barack Obama’s sixth State of the Union address was an homage to France. The president might not have intended it as such — he mentioned the nation only glancingly when denouncing terror attacks in Pakistan and Paris. Yet France was at the heart of the president’s address.

France has everything that Obama finds wanting in his own country. His entire presidency is a prolonged effort to tear the United States away from free market economics and decentralized political power (what the French deride as the “Anglo Saxon model”) toward the kind of socialist, government-dominated society France has achieved.

France is Obamaland. Government sucks up 56 percent of GDP. The state offers cradle-to-grave subsidies for child care, health, disability, unemployment, old age, and more. The welfare state discourages work in myriad ways — most French retire at age 60, and many at 55. The workweek is 35 hours. (Obamacare defines it as 30 hours.) France’s labor code is 3,600 pages long (sound familiar?) and makes it practically impossible to fire anyone. Shockingly, businesses are wary about hiring. France’s growth rate has averaged .3 percent annually since 2008. Everyone from taxi drivers to notary publics to dentists goes on strike at the drop of a chapeau."

Why do you want to exacerbate the problems? Is it the plan all along?
How many of those immigrants you personally took in at your house?

Well we established that according to MoneyMatthew the problem is all these "takers". I established that these "takers" primarily live in poor southern states (perhaps in trailer parks, but I'll admit that's a bit of rhetorical flourish on my part). So the "problem" according to MoneyMatthew is too many poor takers in red states, let's say many of whom live in trailer parks. To answer you question then, no, I don't want to propagate more trailer parks in Mississippi.
I know plenty of immigrants, I worked picking fruit in high school with some of the hardest working individuals I've ever had the pleasure to meet, and have since worked with a number of people with Masters degrees and PhDs who didn't have the same fortunate accident of birth as you to be born here. None of them needed me to house them any more than you need me to house you (you are paying out more in taxes than you take in benefits from the government, aren't you?), they were all working hard growing our economy. Which isn't a zero sum game, by the way. And paying into SS and Medicare despite not being eligible to use them, turns out.

Oh, immigrants picking fruits. That's what American immigration policy now under Obama?
What will happen if they will become disenchanted with the prospect of picking fruits & start living after a few years in the trailer parks? Will we bring more picking fruits immigrants then?

As for housing them you personally don't want to house them but you want the country as a whole to do that.
