No coherent explanation from you? Statistics is a science and nothing you can do to shout it down.
What could be more incoherent than a rant about the importance of the direction in which you wear your hat which is somehow supposed to be connected to the plight of those in Venezuela? If you've got some statistics on that then I'm all ears, I've done a bit with statistics in my day.

Explain the fact the the majority of young voters support Bernie & Clinton? Statistically true.

the cap remark was just a metaphor. assuming you have read the two articles you have no response to the damage in living standards caused by socialism. since you cannot refute the articles you make a personal attack on the messenger, OP being me. nice trick but try it somewhere else.

I agree with you completely, that is statistically "true", although if you work with statistics much "true" is a word you use about as often as "cap". It's also statistically true that a fair coin will come down heads 50% of the time if you do enough tosses, and that if you have 99 red balls and 1 white one in a jar there's a 1% chance you'll come up with the white one on a random draw. I could go on and on with statistical truths, all of which have absolutely nothing to do with the completely incoherent assertion that there is a connection between which direction millennials wear their hats in the U.S. and the current situation in Venezuela.

I don't think that word "metaphor" means what you think it does. You've managed to unfairly stereotype an entire generation and conflate fashion statements, the governance of Venezuela which has nothing in common with any of the 50 prosperous first world what you would call "socialist" countries, and the campaign promises of two political candidates for the Democratic party. And then you take umbrage at a "personal attack" when someone calls you on that bit of work? Seriously?

I stated a fact that you used a personal attack as a subterfuge. that in itself does not constitute umbrage but maybe you want to believe it for your own personal satisfaction. nice try again but it doesn't work again.?

near zero rates and negative interest rates implies that none of these first world socialist countries are doing well. venezuela and zimbabwae are basket cases except for their billionaire leaders who rule the country by diktat . obama, per nyt article, is attempting the same with executive orders, thereby bypassing the legislative branch, Congress.
again, is the US sliding toward 2nd world status ?

Sorry, you've departed reality if you think Zimbabwe and Venezuela and their leaders are equivalent in any way to the U.S. and President Obama or that Sweden, for example, is on its way to becoming Zimbabwe! Smart well meaning people can disagree, but when you start throwing around patently absurd hyperbole combined with inane stereotypes you'll probably notice that most people just start avoiding you. Good luck, try not to die a bitter old man for your own sake and the sake of those around you.

I have not said anything in this thread about the US sliding into 3rd world status. Obama is a Fabian Socialist who believes in strangling the private sector over time, with regulation without actually taking ownership.

"Good luck, try not to die a bitter old man for your own sake and the sake of those around you." you have no self control as shown by your continued use of personal attacks. that is your character trait. maybe it works for you. lots of luck.

You don't have to be a "bitter old man" to notice that something is up with these Millennials. I'm in my 30's and people just 5 years younger than me seem extremely naive. How does an oil rich nation like Venezuela get that screwed up?They blame America for the fall in oil prices. Sure Socialism is at fault there but really it does not seem to matter what form of government these South American countries select...they will always be 3rd world and screwed up. Nothing innovative or future focused happens in these places.

Sweden is bending over backwards to accommodate Muslims, why I don't know? The government is actually commandeering properties to house these muslim refugees. Will socialism continue to be successful in Sweden as growing numbers of refugees continue to do nothing but take and not contribute there? A society of parasites and do-nothings is unsustainable regardless of what it calls itself. Apathy to those observations is a one way ticket to 2nd and 3rd World Status. I would argue there are many pockets in America that are now 2nd World Status. To the inhabitants of those areas it is actually a huge upgrade for them since they are accustomed to 3rd World conditions. As the new masses continue to lower the aggregate level of American standards the only thing standing between the rich and the 3rd world folks is whatever is left of our dwindling Middle Class.
