i would add that a designer does not presuppose omnipotence. every designer i have ever experienced had his limitations, good at some things and bad at others

If it's so 'obvious' why can't a majority of humans agree on the issue.
You guys don't know anymore than the rest of us so you plug in 'God' to fill in the blanks. You need to face reality and admit that we do not know and we will never know the answer to the creation of the universe. There's nothing wrong with saying; "I don't know".

...yet the same atheists prattle about in fear that there is a designer named God...
"A drop of water designs, it is a designer."

Most of my family, friends and acquantances are Christian: nothing would convince them to convert to Islam. I have a few Indian Hindu friends: nothing would convince them to convert to Christianity or Islam.
These people, and I would hope all people over the age of 30, are equally committed to their beliefs. I am no less certain of my atheist beliefs as you are of your beliefs or my Christian & Hindu friends are of theirs.
I have absolutely no memories of existing BEFORE I came into this world and have no evidence that I will continue to exist AFTER my body ceases to function.
I hope I'm wrong but I don't think so.
