Is it

An absolute truth?
(stands on its own merit)

A guru-ism?
(Used to make a trader feel inferior when they do not cut a loser short (whatever that means), or take every available tick out of any given move – so a guru can then show them the ‘light”)

Something else?


Does it even pass the common sense test - without modification – to quantify and qualify it for each trader’s specific application?

It is arguably the most widely accepted, and closely held belief in this business – but why

Does it really provide any value when quoted in generalized terms?

Well, where to start

First, I didn't say YOU were infantile or complaining. I said the thread reeks of it. I think your comments are generally speaking reasonable and clear headed.

Second, the trolls and I mean Jimmy Jam aka Mandlebrot and others are (as I predicted) showing up to prove my point.

Third, I am not Steve46, as I understand it, he is over at Traderslaboratory where they don't permit jerks like Mandlebrot and others to ply their crap. This is in part, the typical infantile behavior that I was referring to. He has nothing of substance to say about the subject, so he puts on a smoke screen in an effort to direct your attention elsewhere. In case you haven't seen it before, this is the trademark behavior of Internet Trolls (he won't be the last to try this).

Finally my comment stands, as you can see from the followup, the trolls and the emotional train wrecks that populate this site, step right up on queue, if you just say the right words....like trained seals.....only dumber.

Thanks to mandlebrot and others for proving my points.
