Some 150 rockets were fired from the Lebanese village of Qana over the past 20 days, Air Force Chief of Staff Brig.-Gen. Amir Eshel said on Sunday evening.
Speaking to reporters, Eshel added that Hizbullah rocket launchers were hidden in civilian buildings in the village. He proceeded to show video footage of rocket launchers being driven into the village following launches.
Eshel also pointed out that the building was hit sometime around midnight Saturday night and didn't collapse until about 8 a.m. Sunday morning, leaving an unusual gap in the timing of the events which the IDF was investigating.
"It's possible that inside the house, something or other was being stored that caused an explosion - something that we didn't succeed in blowing up in the [initial] attack and that perhaps was left over there," Eshel said. "I say this very cautiously, because I currently don't have the faintest idea what the explanation for this gap could be."

That is why there are war crimes trials, and investigations, to determine if the decisions made were reasonable. I doubt at this point that most would believe that Israel would thoroughly investigate their own mistakes.
As I said I have no problem with that, let them investigate and prosecute all war crimes by all countries in chronological order. Or at the very least all sides involved in this war - Hezbollah, Lebanon, Hamas, Syria, Iran, the United Nations, the United States and Israel.

LOL, I can't believe you suggested that, the Hague court does not prosecute "negligent homicide" cases, it's not part of the international law or the Geneva convention. Of course Israel will investigate the incident and negligent homicide charges may indeed be pressed against Israeli officials based on Israeli laws. Not that you'll accept its findings.

You bet it's necessary. The law can't be applied selectively if you want it to be taken seriously and be considered fair and unbiased. No country will agree to stand trial for actions that absolutely everyone else gets away with. It's not a matter of guilt but a matter of principle, no country (including Israel) will agree to become a scapegoat.

I bet it is unnecessary. Either there are facts to support a conviction, or there aren't. Israel is free to present their evidence to excuse them of the crime for which they are charged. Chronological order of another trial is not necessary in the trial process of a defendant.
