How much does life costs where you live?

Quote from Maverick74:

Dude, it's not funny. Take your shit to P&R. Practice down there.
Hey! I got a good idea. You want to play Who's the Biggest Man at the Table?

Mine goes all the way to Saint Louie!

when people start talking about not wanting to live in mixed neighborhoods, I thought we already were down to P&R or something worse

What's life have to do with economics anyway?

If you can prove to me you're 100% pure I'll let you in my neighborhood. Well, it's not really a neighborhood, it's more like a dog show.

missed out most of the Capital Gains tax example for Canada:
"Currently 50.00% of realized capital gains are taxed in Canada at an individual's
tax rate. Some exceptions apply, such as selling one's primary residence which
may be exempt from taxation.[2] Capital gains made by investments in a Tax-
Free Savings Account (TFSA) are not taxed.
For example, if your capital gains (profit) is $100, you are only taxed on $50 at
your marginal tax rate. That is, if you were in the top tax bracket, you would be
taxed at approximately 43%. A formula for this example using the top tax bracket
would be as follows:
Capital gain x 50.00% x marginal tax rate = capital gain tax
= $100 x 50.00% x 43% = $50 x 43% = $21.50
In this example your capital gains tax on $100 is $21.50, leaving you with $78.50.
The formula is the same for capital losses and these can be carried forward
indefinitely to offset future years' capital gains; capital losses not used in the
current year can also be carried back to the previous three tax years to offset
capital gains tax paid in those years."

shit this is so much cheaper than having a trophy gf minus the constant bitching, where do you live lol

Quote from Maverick74:

Wow. NY ranked 59th on that cost of living index. USA really is a damn cheap place to live.
update: 73rd place
if you add in that the retail scene e.g.sales + sales is the most competitive in the world the cost of living would rank new york even lower.

How long you could sustain your current lifestyle (same expenses) if your income stopped, today.
that's entirely up to visa and mastercard, I already blew through my 401k, my IRA, my savings, and the goodwill of my family.

My lifestyle is not that extravegant, so I could probably maintain it in a homeless shelter, but I would really miss the private bathroom. Just cleaned it today and it is spotless.
