How long until the left starts trying to pin todays shooting on the right?

Quote from RCG Trader:

I do not start threads that are race specific. You have started several.

You are suffering some kind of cognitive dissonance.

Mav the Dog Whistler:D

No, you just inject race into every conversation know to man. That's pretty sad Ron. I know your black and everything, but there are other issues in the world to be concerned about other then race. Just sayin bruh...

Quote from Brass:

A complex problem requires a multi-pronged approach. Do you just fight with one hand, especially when there is much at stake? The principal solution to fire prevention is largely better education and awareness, but it does not include the elimination of the fire department.

So what is your solution on the gun control side and how would this have prevented the shooting last night. I'm listening...

Why are you intentionally being dense?
Quote from Brass:

Would it have prevented this crime if enacted after the fact or even shortly before? No. You don't eliminate a problem that has taken decades to create with one fell swoop. However, ignoring an underlying systemic issue reminds me of someone:

There is a law against murder. Meanwhile, people still murder. Does that mean the law is meaningless and should be abolished? Gun laws are about dialing it back. It won't make a difference tomorrow, just as no structural change of any kind will. But if you make no changes now, don't expect a different future.
Quote from Brass:

...Gun junkies in need of their fix will always be the first to tell you that guns are not the problem. And that is correct in the abstract. The problem is the lax laws that allow all manner of people to acquire all manner of weaponry with little or no barrier to access. On the other hand, if it were illegal either for certain people, or to own certain weapons, then, over time, strict laws and stiff penalities would go a long way in limiting ready access at the drop of a hat.

...... Neo-con in libertarian drag. There are a lot of you hiding over there.:D

LOL, you still seem to think this is some sort of prolific statement, when really all you are doing is making yourself look like an idiot.....

No seriously, I'm listening. I want to hear it. See this is the problem Brass, you and everyone on the left have these broad terms you like to use but they don't really mean anything. You shout gun control but then can't articulate exactly what you want to do and round and round we go. So please, details...details...details. What "specifically" do you propose we do and how could that have prevented the shootings last night. Again, I'm listening....

I think Ron is having an identity crisis Max. I don't think he knows what he is. But I see a lot of projection coming from him. LOL.

No, you aren't "listening." If you were, then you would already have read what I had written in direct response to your simple-minded question. You're just being both pedantic and dense. But why bother? You've already won Max over.

No, all you said is we need a multi-prong approach. LOL. You sound like a politician Brass. You just "say" things. Tell me exactly what you propose. Seriously, I'm really really really listening. LOL. Calling me dense is not the solution. So one more time, what are you proposing.

Getting at the "why" as you noted, as well as the "how." Multi-pronged. Seriously, Mav, you're only impressing the Maxes on this site, and that's not much of a feather in your cap.

There is a "No Guns Allowed" sign on the door of that theatre. That worked real good. In VA the shooter (an OWS btw) would have been dead in seconds. The ONLY reason that many people were killed/injured is that no one else in that theatre was armed.

Think I'll take in movie later today...

Popcorn....check

Coke.....check

Ruger LCP....check
