Exactly.Must be nice to lose $60M and have someone bail you out, at that rate your bound to get rich - your also bound to give it all back & than some.
It must be nice gambling with somebody else's money.
2 pages with speculation and nobody have bothered to see the actual video before posting. LOL.
I'll watch it tomorrow if anyone doesn't provide the Cliff's Notes by then.
Doesn't seem unlikely to me considering the wild moves in energy over the last year or two if he traded with high leverage and pyramided into positions. Question is of course if it was a lucky run or if he have any consistency in his trading. Either way, he's set by now unless he blows it.
One of the top taxpayers for a longer period in Norway was a retail trader trading electricity futures. Started out with 20K some 15 years ago and accumulated a fortune (over a billion NOK which is around 100M USD). Incredibly, he blew the entire fortune on one single trade. From rags to riches and back to rags.
EDIT: Found this online in case anyone's interested. There's no reason to doubt that this guy was the real deal at least.

I'm assuming you're just being sarcastic because you think his success isn't real.
Don't be a hater. You're never going to get anywhere in life with an attitude like that.
But outside of this, I'm not sure how much he can teach any of us about sitting in front of a computer and trading an NG or CL contract.

NG futures daily volume is huge about 150K.
The bid-offer spread is 1 to 2 ticks.
It is one of the most liquid futures in the world.
By comparison ...
BTC futures daily volume is pathetic (about 10k).
The bid-offer spread is ~10, 20, or 30 ticks.
It is one of the most illiquid futures.
I checked the wrong symbol. But on a 150K daily volume is is still not easy to move 180M.
1. 150K volume is about
150K + $50K = $7.5 billion worth of NG per day
2. Futures trading is leveraged.
Anyway, the person in the video is trading physical NG, not futures.
If he were to trade NG futures, he should be earning
billions, not millions.
