I think the probability that he is legit is indeed higher than not. He gives off that vibe in the video, even if to be honest he does not dive meaningfully deep into strategy, and it's just at an entertainment level. But the LinkedIn profile issue is concerning.

how much capital do you realistically need to make 180mm in nat gas? Remember you get trades wrong too. That’s why I’m skeptical. I figure he would need 90mm to start (I just made that number up). Nat gas isn’t bitcoin.
 
At one point he mentions that he lost 60MM in 3 weeks. Then later he makes 180 MM. My guess is that he has access to a firm's capital.

But the video itself is pretty bad, we are not getting a decent picture. Is it all his own money? If he is a trading educator, he is not particularly good at describing his trading.

A far fetched possibility is the LinkedIn profile is an impersonation from someone looking to sell trading "education". Frankly I don't know what security LinkedIn has versus impersonation of somebody who doesn't know/take action about it. (Now I need to find his LinkedIn, lol, because I'm just going based of @newwurldmn's quote.)

Great no bs interview, "gut feeling" trading though.. tough one to stomach - think I'll stick with stat arb until my elite gut blossoms.

There is of course no reason to judge, and we need to evaluate based on proof or some sort of metrics, but that's the point. If there is no proof in the video, its far too easy to create the persona of a market wizard.

It would be just as easy as saying he made 180M smuggling drugs, and I'd be more inclined to believe him based on his image. But if he presents no proof of this either, why believe one but not the other?

(there may be enough evidence in the video, in which case my point is moot, but I doubt he is showing statements, etc.)

As my grandfather would ALWAYS say "Shut up Talking Boy, I see, better than I hear".

The guy in the video is a Talking Trading Guru, just like all the other XXX,XXX,XXX Talking Trading Guru on video saying how they make $X,XXX,XXX trading.

They all talk, and never take about 5 seconds to post a trading account balance .

Guy have no proof of nothing, just talking fairy tales like the other Talking Trading Gurus. Guy just talking and bragging and playing around trying to get views.

I made $500,000 today trading ES futures.

NG futures daily volume is huge about 150K.
The bid-offer spread is 1 to 2 ticks.
It is one of the most liquid futures in the world.

By comparison ...
BTC futures daily volume is pathetic (about 10k).
The bid-offer spread is ~10, 20, or 30 ticks.
It is one of the most illiquid futures.
