How I am investment in Oil

May '20 trades $4.89 last :wtf:

Ok, lets put the money where the mouth is and call my shots.

I put 50% of my account in Oil and used the following ETFs:
85% in WisdomTree WTI Crude Oil (CRUD) bought at 2,90
15% in WisdomTree WTI Crude Oil 2x Daily Leveraged (LOIL) bought at 3,01

I am betting that WTI doesn't go bellow 15USDs and that will reach 40USD before year end. LOIL might be sold and converted in CRUD when WTI reaches 25USD, depending on how volatile the situation will be then.

Let's see how this works out.

Closed yesterday morning my positions with a significant loss. This was a very expensive Oil trading course.

WisdomTree WTI Crude Oil (CRUD) bought at 2,90 sold at 2,47
WisdomTree WTI Crude Oil 2x Daily Leveraged (LOIL) bought at 3,01 sold at 2,21

I’m sorry to hear that. Physical Commodities present some very unique challenges and have their own idiosyncrasies that can make them very dangerous to trade at times.

If you want to invest in oil trading there are two methods,

Direct method of investing oil trading:
One direct method of owning oil is through the purchase of oil futures or oil options. Futures are highly volatile and involve a high degree of risk. Additionally, investing in futures may require the investor to do a lot of homework as well as invest a large amount of capital.

Indirect method of investing oil trading:
In addition, investors can gain indirect exposure to oil through the purchase of energy-sector ETFs, like the iShares Global Energy Sector Index Fund (IXC), and to energy-sector mutual funds, like the the T. Rowe Price New Era Fund (PRNEX). These energy-specific ETFs and mutual funds invest solely in the stocks of oil and oil services companies and come with lower risk.

Thank you..
