How Gun Control Made England The 'Most Violent Country In Europe'

I don't recall hi sname, only that thugs had repeatdly broken into his house and when they did again in the middle of the night, he pulled his shotgun on them.

What facts "did not warrant acquittal?" That they only meant to terrorize him and not kill him? Even anti gun zealot joe Biden advised to shoot through the door with a shotgun if someone is trying to break in.

Yes, it was Tony Martin. I looked it up and read the whole depressing story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Martin_(farmer)

All I can say is it makes me glad not to live in the UK. The story is really worth reading, because it is like a cautionary tale of what America would look like if the Obama/Clinton/Feinstein/Bloomberg crowd of anti Second Amendment zealots got their way.

Some of you thinking about voting for democrats this fall might want to reflect on that, since a few House seats are all that is standing in their way.

Actually you're not reading the story; you're reading wikipedia. Those who are interested can read the original story re the jury verdict here.

FWIW, another UK defendant in similar circumstances was just acquitted.

well... that should make that tony martin feel better. and for that matter the rest of England.

Well that and at least 70 million gun owners. Many of whom are dead serious about resisting further subversion of the 2nd A.

Sorry but they would like nothing better than for gun owners to take a stand. Then they could justify using all those federal SWAT teams ,etc and demonize gun owners as terrorists and dangerous.

The smart thing to do is stockpile weapons and ammo now, while it is legal and store them in secure locations.

Oh one or a few at a time you're right. I believe they will back down from much larger gatherings though.
As they did with Bundy in NV not long ago.

Ban gun ownership... then only criminals will have guns.

Ever hear of a police convention being shot up by a mass shooter?

Or, even a donut shop?

Hell NO!

Better yet... "Mandatory Carry" for all able bodied adults.... if you wanna see a drop mass shootings... or crime in general.

And how many mass shootings were there at US gun shows last decade? LOL! I won't even do a search, as the number's zero. Imagine opening a gun store in a local high school, and I'm sure you're like me, knowing a mass shooter would go anywhere but there. Common sense left the UK long ago, and our elected tyrants are pissing on common sense here.

And an estimated 400M firearms in the hands of private citizens. A force like that would cause me to jump in the surf, and start swimming, if I were a tyrant.

Ammo prices are super cheap, and gun prices have crashed*. Now's the time for someone with money to start loading up.

*Except for ccw pistols/revolvers.
