My strongest takeaway is that Ray Dalio worked endlessly to get ""*LEGAL*"" insider trading knowledge of global huge macro trends ahead of everyone else... and his ability to get that over the last decades of his trading was drying up and dying out. (big hint was how he was cultivating influence with other large Hedge fund guys more than their money.)

That is why all the subterfuge and mis-direction with Bridgewater.

Citadel has ""*Legal*"" insider info every day all day when their Algos pick off any and all traders, for billions of trades a day, because their Algos function at nanosecond speed versus the large retail executing at high microsecond or even millisecond.
