Quote from I am...:
What is "scripture"? Define please.
Is it anything that is scripted?
Is it anything scripted that is really old?
Is it something written in Hebrew?
Is it anything that is written with a pen upon lambskin? Is it something written upon papyrus? Copper? Which is more true, lambskin or copper?
Let us define scripture as anything written as men were moved by the Holy Spirit.
How would you know the difference?
I am having the same situation with you as I did with the scribes and Pharisees.
They had scriptures. They revered scriptures.
Yet we disagreed on the meaning of scriptures.
How is that?
If you write without the Holy Spirit, it has no meaning.
If you read without the Holy Sprit, it has no meaning.
If you collect scriptures without the Holy Spirit, it has no meaning.
If you read a collection of scriptures collected without the Holy Spirit, it has no meaning.
The Holy Spirit leads you away from this world. Always.
You're motive determines whether you read or write with the Holy Spirit.
Your motive is to keep and sanctify this world...to find your place in it. That is not the motive of the Holy Spirit.
That is where you and the scribes and Pharisees agree, and where you and I disagree.

Quote from rcanfiel:
Except that Jesus was not created - 'AND THOU, BETHLEHEM Ephrata, art a little one among the thousands of Juda: out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be the ruler in Israel: and his going forth is from the beginning, from the days of eternity. ' (from Micah 5) [/B]
Quote from rcanfiel:
You should do a little study of the several hundred Old Testament prophecies that were fulfilled in the New Testament. It has a far better batting average than yourself...
Quote from rcanfiel:
Matthew 27:3-5 Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." And they said, "What is that to us? You see to it!" Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself.
Quote from rcanfiel:
14) Do people basically do good or bad? What is the passage that gives the definitive answer about how many people you have seen who do good?
Quote from rcanfiel:
you should be well aware that Jesus is described as "Faithful and True" Your constant ramblings have little connection with Christ.
Have you forgotten that Jesus told His disciples that Keeping the Law (scripture) was primary? And that not one jot not tittle would pass away until all would be fulfilled?
You are basically a dimestore apologist with little actual clue about what Jesus was about.
