How can we buy shares of the Fed ?

Just buy a basket of stocks that represent the banks that compose the fed.

You can't. It's a PRIVATE Corporation.
Ownership is distributed amongst Member Banks (Commercial Banks).
The only way to own the FED is via proxy through one of its holding Companies (JPM, CITI, BoA, GS etc).

Correct. Most of that private stock is owned by foreign individuals and families.

Just curious, isn't there a court register of companies in the US where you can check the deed of establishment + the current stakeholders' list, just like the Companies House in UK?
Shouldn't be difficult to find out where all 12 regional feds are incorporated / seated. Just my 2 cents.
