Do the same as "Mr.sprstpd" said, and before you login to TWS click on more options then untick on "Use/store setting on server"

Delete your local tws.xml before starting up and then when it asks if you want to restore from a prior day, decline.

SPRSTD provides step by steps on the previous page but here it is again:

Log in first and save the file.
from the TWS:
File->Layout Settings-> Save As (you'll see a long directory name in the pop up box).
Save as something like tws.backup.xml

Then go to the directory under C: Jts and the funny long name such as
ie. C:\Jts\ejpdafilkginlmkpamaiahklcdgkdjkfckofflgf
delete tws.xml (it may just list as tws)

Alternatively try F
File->Layout Settings
Layout Settings/Recovery
chose Restore Default Settings
