I suggest you all look at the Israeli system of healthcare. Everyone get basic health coverage through private insurance they can choose funded by the government.

This is basically Medicaid in America.

But you and your employer can upgrade your coverage to fit your needs and desires if you want to.

Israel has the sixth best healthcare system in the world. They live longer than us and have less chronic health issues.

It’s cheaper, private, competition based, more efficient, and more effective. We would not have to change much in America. All we would have to do is take responsibility for choosing our plans and coverages as individuals rather than letting our employers or government.

It really is a great system.
