hmm.no edges in the markets

Quote from NoDoji:

You'll just have to trust that I trade this way, because I'm not on display, I'm trading for a living.

As someone relatively new to this business of trading, working my way toward developing my own comprehensive trading plan, it is always interesting and helpful to catch a glimpse of such a plan as traded by someone who has already completed her journey. Thank you for that post, nodoji.

No, I have no interest in being mentored--- I just want to observe in real time someone actually succesfully trading commodities in the described way. surf

1) Please clarify...you talking about in person, chat room live calls, chat room whiteboard with audio, ET forum live call or what ?

Note: ET does not have a chat room but there are hundreds of free chat room sources out there and some currently being used by traders to post live calls for many months or years.

2) Also, you said "in the described way". You want the person to share with you the in-depth details of their trade method or you're only interested in just generalities of the price action being discussed to you ?

3) Does this person have to be an ET member you've been debating with or can it be someone from outside of the ET forum ?

nodoji...why do u go to such lengths to give out edge so much on a public board? i understand the share thing etc..but i would never give a road map if i was currently earning in this world.

price action is still at its best discretionary...there's no way to emulate it

Quote from NoDoji:

The way I trade the instrument I trade is not highly scalable.

Well, the only way this would be true is if you were picking off small size OR you were trading so large already you can't get bigger.

I presume the former.

Quote from marketsurfer:

Thank you.

But let's face it Cornix and the other Price Action type traders don't use any fundamental components. These folks fully believe they can profit by using a commodity chart alone without any other inputs. Why try to muddy the waters about their claims-- just admit they seem far fetched.

Right, fundamentals are not used for any actual trading decisions, because fundamentals are too broad factors for day trading. I fully understand how Soros trades with mainly fundamentals, but his time scale is much higher.

for this thread, this is cherry-picking trades to make your point.

I simply got interested in trading CL since about the last week. NoD can prove my point, I emailed her with a few questions and back then didn't participate in this thread.

P. S. Passion to conspiracy theories is very typical form of rationalization.

Quote from marketsurfer:

If they like, please share personal contact information I have a few questions to run by them. I don't place much faith in aliases.

surf

If they want, they will contact you. But honestly Surf, just as friendly advice, watch your image. There are no aliases on the Internet really for any serious person. Many ET members know much more personal information about each other than you may think. And whatever you say here is not "theater". It's still life. Real life. With real consequences for your reputation.

Quote from Ned Stark:

Because he/she knows that most people will NEVER be able to emulate this. You give an exact road map and 90%+ people will still be completely lost.

I'd say 90% will never even read her post to the end. Of the remaining 10% 90% will be too lazy to do the work needed and so on...

Surf is right, it's incredibly rare to see such a dedicated person as NoD... in any profession. Just most professions are far more forgiving... and that's why paid worse. :D
