High LDL Cholesterol Is Not A Health 'Problem' & Other Facts

Quote from Thunderdog:

Okay. Well, I definitely go by "omni," but I try to limit my meat intake to very lean portions of about 6 to 8 ounces per serving and generally no more than 3 times a week. On the one hand, I think it can be challenging to get all of the nutrition that the body requires strictly from a vegetarian diet, but on the other hand excessive meat consumption seems to age the body prematurely. And so, I favor something of a skewed middle ground, with a greater emphasis on fruits and vegetables.

you might find some comfort in 'middle of the road" but that's just the refuge of the wary, of the cautious but uninformed. :(

I just stick to the moderate advice of 5 to 8 ounces of animal protein per day, depending on type (5 if red meat, 8 if poultry or fish), and getting the rest of my nutrients from plants such as fruits, nuts and vegetables.

When I first mentioned this, and that I thought some animal based protein consumption was essential, sunshine told me I was crazy, and that eating any meat was essentially ignorant, and that's how this whole thing started.

And you might find that a well-balanced life, whatever form it may take, to be superior to one-sidedness.

'well balanced"? what does that mean? i am too lazy to look further so i'll eat less of what they say is bad for me (but i really don't know the difference) so it's just a big compromise that i hope doesn't hurt me in long run? :D

get off your azz, stand for smthg :)

all the vegetarians and vegans I know are either fat or unhealthy...RESULTS MATTER

This discussion is becoming pointless.
killthesunshine: you are arguing and don't want to accept that there are people who eat meat and live long and healthy lives, disease free...who look and feel good on top of that....

It's easier to advertise a vegetarian diet if you're a walking proof...but I seriously doubt you are (still waiting for your BMI)
struggling with those pounds, aren't you?
