High LDL Cholesterol Is Not A Health 'Problem' & Other Facts

Quote from trendlover:

No, the body make its own cholesterol, (we need cholesterol) but it needs saturated fat to do that. I am not saying anyone have to eat animals fat to get saturated fat, that can come from some oils of plants, but I am saying the saturated fat from animals is not so bad. So I am not saying we need animal products to get saturated fat, I am saying animal products are not a bad source of saturated fat that people need. No one is saying it is ok to eat a whole cow in one day.
If you are vegetarian killthesunshine, I am not saying that is unhealthy. You get your saturated fat from some kind of oil you eat. But that does not mean that eating some meat for saturated fat is bad.
I eat mixture of vegetable and fruit, some beans, rice, and meat, Beef, pork, chicken. I am not fat. I walk and ride my bike too.

wonderful for you.. fat or not

why add ANY amount of "beef, pork or chicken" to your rice and beans?

what's wrong with eating just "rice and beans"?

Quote from killthesunshine:

too many cals compared to what? a carrot? spinach?

you know the truth, that's why WE both eat mostly plants.

what's your prob with admitting it? what do you hide from?

6oz filet mignon 500cal compared to 6oz chicken 280cal...but I would rather eat filet mignon!

admitting what? that I like meat but can't eat it too much because I care about my weight?

I asked if you're vegan, because the last vegan i spoke to (a fat lady btw) couldn't give me any valid health reason why meat is bad for you...her reasoning was only the cruelty to animals (terrible, i admit) :(

do you know how much 500 cals of LETTUCE looks like?

you couldn't eat it in one setting.

what's your argument, eat chicken because less fat than beef?

try eatinga 500 cal; SALAD!

i ask YOU why eat Chicken/beef/pork with its concomitant high level of bad fat ?

wher is YOUR nutritional advantage?

you don't make friends with salad :D

high level of fat, but not necessarily bad fat. If I was going to eat the filet mignon, I would end up being hungry or have to go over my calorie limit....however, I doubt it would affect my health.

Soy is good in moderation, but eaten in large quantities, as a complete meat based protein replacement, can adversely effect proper hormonal balance in both men and women.

Ever hear of protein ?

Chicken is a great low fat high protein meat as long as it is grilled.
