You really hurt my feelings with your comments.

Should I cry?

Hah, hah, hah....

PS: You seem to give crap about what I have to say, since you still reading my postings after all these years.

I don't give a crap about what you have to say, and I don't read any of your postings on this forum.

I just read this one because you posted your childish and silly comment where I posted some info about Noam Chomsky.

Your comments shows that besides you being a very ignorant person, you also have the intellectual level of a 5-years old bully on the playground.

.

For anyone to claim chomsky is a great american and a great intellectual is offensive, period.

I know your type, self-styled lefty world savers. I have read your posts, that is how I have formed my opinion about you. That is also how I know that almost nobody in here cares about your drivel.

Now you say you haven't read mine, yet you know all about me- that's consistent with all the rest of your pseudo-intellectual crap you have produced.

Another great American who wants to change America in to something completely different than what it is, but enjoys the current freedoms and benefits to be critical.
Just another stupid leftist who won't admit in his version of America guys like him would be silenced. Idiot!

His vision is nearly the complete opposite of totalitarianism. You might want to read up on Chomsky before making such a condemnation.

He's a fool. He and his kind always ignore the human condition that is the reality of who we really are. There will always be someone who will lead a like minded group to take more than their "fair share" by whatever means necessary. To believe otherwise is to ignore several thousand years of history. Further, to pursue this non-sense as a goal will have you on the receiving end of any number of weapons which will kill you. And your killers will do it with a smile. Killing be it your opportunity or your life. Someone always wants more!

So how does his career-long exposure and critique of that very reality make him a fool? It's easy to say "it's human nature" and do nothing more. Virtue is an achievable goal.

Chomsky, by his own nature is contrarian to authority, any authority, including himself. He downplays his own importance to MIT, stating that they only tenured him because they had a slot to fill in the linguistics department.

In any event, dismissing Chomsky as a communist is simple minded drivel.

As an individual yes. Broader than that, no. He's a fool for thinking it possible, and expecting governments to make changes that would bring themselves down. When has that ever happened? When has it even been seriously considered? Governments have one thing in mind. Self preservation. When attacked they will defend. When toppled, those that do the toppling soon become everything they fought against. That, is human nature and there's nothing you can do about it.

There has been one modern day attempt at anarchism in Spain during the 30's. It was such a dismal failure that I cannot fathom why anyone calling themselves an intellectual would attempt apologetics.

Chomsky's world view is unworkable, most of us have moved on from the idea that private property is a bad thing, except the campus communists of course who are able to spew their drivel precisely because a central gov't well funded with capitalist dollars gave them the priviledge. Contemptable

It's astonishing, I'm sitting here arguing the need for some central gov't with people like Ricter...

Nothing is a strong word, and wrong imho. These things can be mitigated. After all, that's the purpose of democracy, for example, and while not perfect, it improved life for many, greatly.

SouthAmerica: Reply to Mav88 and CaptainObvious

Both of you it seems to me that you guys are completely clueless about anything to do with Noam Chomsky – but you still want to show your ignorance about this subject to the readers here at the Elite Trader Forum with your postings.

I will make an effort to at least show to you guys where you can find information and educate yourself about Noam Chomsky, his books, lectures, and so on....

I know this is a very difficult task to reach someone like Mav88 – someone with the mindset of a 5-years old brat, and the intellectual grasp of a jackass.

People from around the world admire and respect this “Great America”.

Here go educate yourself at least a little about this subject, before you continue posting here on ET your non-sense and very ignorant postings.

Noam Chomsky

It is so important that you keep an open mind to new ideas, and to the opinions of people with superior analytical capabilities such as Noam Chomsky.

It is important not to dismiss someone simply because you’ve heard his opinion about something that you disagree with – then you wrote that person off about everything else.

Noam Chomsky is considered the number one intellectual alive here in the United States today.

He is the number one most quoted “living author” today, and he is the number 8 most quoted author in history.

I love Noam Chomsky, and I enjoy all his lectures and writings.

Noam Chomsky represents the "Last of a Dying Breed" here in the U.S. - Americans who use their brain to think.

By the way, the US mainstream media is completely clueless about what has been going on around the world for a long time.

Noam Chomsky is one of the few people here in the US who can connect the dots, as he consistently grasps the essence and what is at the core of most problems here in the US and abroad.

By the way, Mav88 if you don't behave yourself on ET we are going to send you back to timeout.
